RETURN OF THE GUEST POST

RETURN OF THE GUEST POST, as written by reverend phil

The road is a pretty interesting place. It's where messages are delivered in person, where the action is, where danger lurks round the corner. When that danger comes a knocking you might be lucky enough to come away unharmed, and if you are even more lucky others will not be harmed by you.

I take this as a sign that humanity is still holding on. That people can be marginally responsible for their actions and carry on their days. Even though we might not be able to forget the crazy person in the elevator that was having a conniption fit, we should actually be thankful for the person with whom we had a poor interaction with and still managed to let bygones be bygones.

Tim Mason's first attempt at video editing. He asks "don't be too harsh"

My constructive criticism....
tilt the helmet cam up a few degrees, I want to see the trail ahead
your decent 9 minutes could be cut to an exciting 3 minutes
I liked the commentary in the beginning ditch segment. Maybe get someone else to film you and the crowd
I wasn't sure about the music at first but I realized it matches Drew's cadence on the Fat Chance and works well during the woods helmet cam segment near the end

Rip city, baby.

I watched the Trailblazers defeat the Toronto Raptors last night for their 9th win in a row. I also saw the first game of the streak and got this free shirt as part of Hannukah night.

What a great time to be a long suffering Blazer fan. The team is playing so well together and it seems like B. Roy can take over a game whenever he wants to. Check out this Jordanesque move he puts on Chris Bosh.

"That was a hell of a move," coach Nate McMillan said with a big grin after the game. "It was really like that Michael Jordan move in the Finals against the Lakers. It happened so fast, it was like 'Did he just do that?' You know? Just an unbelievable move, and I think the crowd was surprised because it took them a while to react like all of us -- 'Did we just see what he just did?' "

Fix Push

I found this hilarious video on my new favorite website, Portland Hamburgers. I'm working up a few posts of my own but so far the burger pics haven't turned out well.

The Natural Evolution?

Dabby sent me this video of some euro doing completely ridiculous urban tricks on a trials motorcycle. I'm a real sucker for this kind of thing.

Bold SUV drivers take on an icy hill

I ride up and down this hill at least once a weekday, it's very steep. I'm not surprised a few jackasses would try it in the ice but so many?
Once again this video has been out for a while (1.2 million views!) but I hadn't seen it so maybe you haven't either.

video update

A camera inside the polo mallet, that is awesome.

I happened upon this commercial on youtube and had to watch it several times. I have a real thing for cute girls riding bikes down hills...maybe I should become a zoobomber.
