Rip city, baby.
I watched the Trailblazers defeat the Toronto Raptors last night for their 9th win in a row. I also saw the first game of the streak and got this free shirt as part of Hannukah night.
What a great time to be a long suffering Blazer fan. The team is playing so well together and it seems like B. Roy can take over a game whenever he wants to. Check out this Jordanesque move he puts on Chris Bosh.
"That was a hell of a move," coach Nate McMillan said with a big grin after the game. "It was really like that Michael Jordan move in the Finals against the Lakers. It happened so fast, it was like 'Did he just do that?' You know? Just an unbelievable move, and I think the crowd was surprised because it took them a while to react like all of us -- 'Did we just see what he just did?' "

Fix Push
I found this hilarious video on my new favorite website, Portland Hamburgers. I'm working up a few posts of my own but so far the burger pics haven't turned out well.

Fox writes in
Fox writes in :
Attention denizens of Portland.
Ambassador Fox, formerly of the Land of Ports and currently stationed in the City of San Francisco, is scheduled to make a visit on the weekend before New Years, and very possibly will spend the Eve there, along with a number of other dignitaries (read: "Bike Messengers"). A race is in the works and Ambassador Fox sincerely hopes you and your cool self can participate. Whether to race, or to run a checkpoint (read: "hang out with me in a coffeeshop/ bar"), or even to heckle folks involved in either (cough, Brady), it should be aight (read: "hella tight, yo"). the race is planned to involve all four quadrants of the city, and while it will definitely NOT be as fucked up as the 1st Annual Fox Thursday Alleycat (sorry, NeRf), it will be kinda fucked up. I am sure you noble citizens of Portland are curious and want to know exactly HOW, but....but.... you'll just have to wait. Please RSVP so I can plan the race accordingly. With sincere hope and humble gratitude, I remain, your obedient servant. See you all soon, Fox.

legal wagering
I no longer need Beefa's slow deciding ways now that I've discovered http://www.intrade.com/ There I can wager legally not only on the fates of Musharref and Chavez but of OJ Simpson and Barry Bonds. Though browsing through the "current events" listings makes me a little nervous, I think I would have mixed feelings if I made a profit on China bombing Taiwan or Israel bombing Iran. |
